The Beginning

Ingrid Doerr creates the original Shipyards Night Market, transforming the historic North Vancouver shipyards into a vibrant community gathering place every Friday evening.

In Memoriam

Ingrid Doerr passes away, leaving behind a legacy of community, creativity, and connection that touched thousands of North Shore residents.

A New Chapter

Dani MacPherson and iMADE resurrect the market with the blessing of Ingrid's family — her sister Monika and nephew Kyle — carrying forward Ingrid's vision for a community-first night market.

Version 2.0

The market grows to over 250,000 seasonal attendees, becoming one of the largest weekly night markets in Western Canada with expanded live music, artisan vendors, and food experiences.

The Shipyards Night Market is presented by CONIFER Entertainment Society, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to producing large-scale community events on the North Shore. CONIFER works alongside iMADE to bring world-class entertainment, local artisan showcases, and memorable experiences to the North Vancouver waterfront.

As a society, CONIFER reinvests in the community through charitable collaborations, supporting local wildlife rescue organizations, ocean conservation groups, and cultural initiatives across British Columbia.
